PROJECT MANAGER (DESIGN/ CONSTRUCTION)

James E. Taylor Design Group, P.C., seeks Project Manager (Design/Construction) for Kansas City, Missouri.  Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in architecture; five years experience as a Project Manager (Design/Construction) or in a Design Build Construction Management position; demonstrated proficiency in Computer Aided Design (2D&3D), HVAC (including mechanical, electrical, and energy efficiency), real estate development analysis and land planning (including zoning and site planning), and architectural programming; and completion of intern Development Program of National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.

The Project Manager (Design/Construction) provides comprehensive architectural design services including feasibility, environmental impact studies, programming, code compliance, planning, rezoning, construction documents, structural systems, tenant finishing, and AIA contract documentation and specifications; coordinate all phases of a project; review easements, plats, and legal descriptions; coordinate civil engineering, including utilities; design HVAC systems including mechanical, electrical, sustainable design, and energy efficiency; perform as expert legal witness with respect to building codes, ADA, zoning laws, fire regulations, and other ordinances; secure general contractor permits; supervise and direct project architects and engineers, construction supervisors, land surveyors, inspectors, code officials, and consultants, and the estimating, bidding and awarding of sub-contracts; perform critical path project scheduling using MS Project; conduct on-site field inspections, quality control, and inventory management; manage AIA contracts; submit back pay applications, handle liens and waivers; do cost analyses; manage facilities; coordinate with city, state and federal agencies; develop CAD standards; do 3D modeling; design and manage company webserver; manage online drawing documentation and database; and provide graphics support.
