In 1996, Ms. Fisher formed a Woman-Owned (WBE), Construction
Management Company, JET & Associates, L.C., a subsidiary of James E.
Taylor & Associates, that provides professional construction and
project management services. In addition, JET & Associates,
L.C. offers Expert Witness Forensic research and testimony to
legal counsels who are appearing for defendants or plaintiffs in
State and Federal Courts on construction related disputes.
During past years – before her leave-of-absence to raise a family --
she was the principal in charge for managing the Construction
scope of work value exceeding $20 Million Dollars for such
projects as the Wolfe Automotive Facility, Kansas City Community
Centers, Waste Management Maintenance Facility, Pepsi-Cola Bottling
Co. of Chillicothe, Missouri and Northwest Missouri Psychiatric
Facility.
Ms. Fisher is always in direct contact with all owners and prime
contractors during all construction tasks. She also is involved
in construction administration disciplines, site visits, weekly
meetings, cost projections, scheduling, purchasing, contractors
bidding and negotiating, contracts, certificate of payments,
insurance and bonding, lien waivers, and obtaining final inspections
and building occupancy permits.
Ms.
Fisher also has several years of marketing and management experience
with other professional firms. Prior to forming the JET group she
was part of a management team for Sentinel Real Estate Corporation,
managing a multitude of apartment complexes in the Kansas City
Area. During her association with the JET Companies she was
involved in planning and design with James E. Taylor Design Group
PC, performing Construction Administration for various construction
management projects requiring: securing zoning, building
permitting, C.O.’s, scheduling material staging and storage, and
other Construction Administration tasks and disciplines.
As
Project Manager she was responsible for obtaining city government
approvals for various projects including System One Rent A Car,
Woolfe Auto Co., Service Corporation International, Mount Moriah
Cemetery and McGilley-Hoge Funeral Homes in Overland Park, Kansas
and Kansas City, Missouri.
In additional to her management and construction experience,
she has held a real estate license. The combination of these
capabilities and energy brings successful outcomes to all projects
she directs for this firm’s clients.
