Mr. Swearingin's expertise is in
retail and restaurant design, which brings a special aspect to the
firm. He has also been involved in several projects for the City of
Kansas City, Missouri and the City of Independence, Missouri.
Prior to forming his own
firm in 1976, he served as Assistant City Architect for the City of
Kansas City, Missouri. During that time he was in charge of all new
construction for the City's own use; including fire stations,
neighborhood multi-purpose centers, and additions to General
Hospital. Mr. Swearingin additionally provided construction management
services for the Municipal Courts Building.
Most recently, Mr. Swearingin has
been involved in the designs of multi-family, and single family
housing. He has been involved in the services of construction
documents as well as the reviews. He is familiar with a variety of
city codes and regulations that are currently being used.
