Mr.
Lackey was born and raised in Smithville, Missouri, attending local
grade and high school, where he participated in all major sports.
He began his civil career at an early age joining the Boy Scouts of
America and attaining the highest level in scouting with the award
of Eagle Scout. Upon his graduation from high school he attended
Ellsworth Junior College in Iowa, where he also played football and
basketball.
He
returned to the Kansas City area after two years of formal
education. He then spent three (3) years employed in retail sales
and later transitioned to the construction products industry where
he found a niche in sales. He dedicated approximately fourteen (14)
years to one company and received the promotion to sales manager for
Professional Building Supplies and served in that capacity for three
(3) years before forming his own residential building company,
Distinct Homes of Kansas City, which he has owned and operated for
nine (9) years. As a consultant, Mr. Lackey has provided the JET
Companies his expertise in Residential Construction Costing as well
as provided input for scheduling and performing Residential
Construction Building tasks.
